Meanwhile, Araw ng Kahitingan, originally scheduled on April 9, has been moved to April 10. April 10 is also recognized as the Day of Valor or Araw ng Kagitingan, a day that commemorates the bravery of Filipino and American soldiers during World War II.

The extended long weekend provides an opportunity for Filipinos to rest, unwind, and spend time with their families, especially during the ongoing pandemic. The government has reminded the public to observe health protocols and avoid large gatherings during the holidays to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared April 6 and 7 as regular holidays, and moved Araw ng Kahitingan to April 10.
